Leo's Cherry & Chocolate Decadence

Time to bring you a delicious treat for Family day / Easter monday !
An easy recipe with classic pantry ingredients and a Leo's Little Jars favorite: Cherry & Chocolate Jam

Setting the mood
Open your music platform of choice and search "Chocolat" the Movie Soundrack, because what could be better than Johnny Depp spread with chocolate by Juliette Binoche?!
Recipe
Let's heat up that oven then and get cracking!
Get a bowl, and melt 250g of good quality dark chocolate with 200g of salted butter and 200g of sugar.
Whisk together:

1 cup of flour

1 tbsp of unsweeten Cacao powder

1 tsp of baking powder

A pinch of Himalayan Salt
In the chocolate buttery dreamy batter, beat in 3 eggs one by one.
Pour in a cake pan that you would have previously buttered and floured !
Now is time to take out your favorite Cherry & Chocolate Jam. Drop 3 tbsp of jam in a diagonal line, use the spoon to spread the jam in the batter. It will caramelize in the oven for an almost crispy experience.
Note: If using a springform pan, be careful, they are often not 100% leakproof. In that case line the pan with parchment paper.

As you serve it spread a bit more jam on it for the perfect shinny glaze.
